The focus of Walnut Woodland is to provide naturally grown, fresh walnuts direct to the customer. They are allowed to fully mature on the tree and fall naturally when they are ripe. Nuts fall in April/May on to nets. They are collected within a couple of days and dried within 36 hours to produce walnuts tasting their best.
We harvest macadamia nuts from over 940 macadamia trees, for much of the year, to ensure that you, our customers, receive the freshest and tastiest macadamia nuts available in New Zealand. We grow five varieties of macadamia nuts, all carefully selected for superior nutrition and flavour of the nuts. All nut varieties are GM free (and they’re gluten free too). Our macadamia nuts are only harvested when the tree decides they are mature enough to drop, then they are collected regularly and dried promptly. We do not chemically induce nut drop, (and yes we are serious about sustainability utilising waste heat to dry the nuts.) We have a wide and unique array of macadamia products, both sweet and spicy designed for all palates. In addition, our premium macadamia liqueur has been created with our customer in mind, to be consumed deliciously on its own, in cocktails, or with ice cream and desserts.
