Vicki tantalized us with the colours and smells of the BBQ in action last Saturday with the cooking demonstration. The Summer Pasta Salad was a huge success. The combination of the coloured cherry tomatoes basking their skins in the heat of the roasting dish, the mini Aubergines (available at Riverside Growers) and the courgettes (Hetherdale Produce) making perfect rounds of flavour and colour. There are many ways you can use these combinations of fresh vegetables from our producers, to use in other salad combinations. Summer stone fruit express their sweetness if lightly grilled on the BBQ and then added to add to that favourite desert base or summer salad with mixed mesclun greens.
