The Tauranga City Council Information Sharing team are with us again this Saturday 14th September to engage with our customers on a specific topic.
It’s no secret Tauranga is growing fast, and this growth is going to continue. For many years most of Tauranga’s growth has occurred on the outskirts of the city – Bethlehem, Papamoa, The Lakes – but we’re running out of room. Compared with other NZ cities, Tauranga has the fourth smallest geographical area in NZ, so we need to be smart about our use of space to balance economic, social, cultural and environmental factors to provide great places to live, work, learn and play.
So, Tauranga City Council want to work with our community to develop a plan for change. Central to this will be hearing what people value and desire in their community (such, efficient transportation routes, learning, running a business and relaxing). We will be out and about in the Te Papa community in August and September 2019. We will be listening to people to understand what they value about their communities, what they don’t like and their hopes for the future of Te Papa.More information is available at www.tauranga.govt.nz/tepapa
The Council is very appreciative of being in the Market and having the ability to connect with our ‘community’.
