This is an extract from an email from Dawn at the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society. Due to Covid and Lockdown at Level 4 they were only in the Market for 2 Saturdays and missed out on the remaining 2 Saturdays. For those of you who missed out on the daffodils or placing your support, there is a link below.
“The cancellation of our largest annual fundraiser is a huge blow. As a community-funded charity, we rely on the proceeds of Daffodil Day to deliver support services to people with cancer across our region.
While we are unable to collect donations face to face right now, the community can still show their support of the Cancer Society by donating online at daffodilday.org.nz.
Once again, thank you for coming on board to make a difference for the one in three New Zealanders affected by cancer. We hope to have your support again in 2022.”
Warm regards
Dawn
